This company consists of mainly two professionals with experiences in technical, market and environmental issues of the lithium and salt processing industry.

Macarena González Prieto

Macarena is an independent environmental Consultant with experience in the elaboration of environmental impact studies. She is an environmental engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University in Santiago.

She has about 14 years of experience in environmental issues especial related with Salars. She worked for SQM, where she was initially in charge for environmental aspects of the Nitrate & Iodine operations and later she got responsible for the environmental issues for the lithium and potassium operation at the Salar de Atacama and Salar de Carmen.

She also worked for CMP a division of CAP, where she revised the environmental concerns for iron project in the Altiplano. She is very familiar with the Chilean authorities such as CONAMA, COREMA DGA and indigenous communities. Since a couple of years she is consulting to a projects related with Salars.

Macarena speaks 3 languages fluently: English, Spanish and Italian.

Peter Ehren

Peter is an independent Lithium Consultant with almost 15 years of experience in the industry. He started his interest in the lithium business during his master's thesis at Technical University of the Delft. For this thesis he went to Reno Nevada and worked for BHP Minerals, where he investigated the recovery of lithium from geothermal brine (Salton Sea).

After his thesis he worked for SQM till 2007. Since 2007 he started to work as independent consultant.

During his professional career he obtained in depth knowledge of the lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and boric acid processes. He was responsible for the R&D of a variety of lithium products, where under lithium chloride production.

He visited 3 lithium metal plants, 3 spodumene production processes, and 3 lithium carbonate/hydroxide plants from spodumene, Chinese Tanjinair Salt lakes and 2 butyl lithium plants. He was responsible for R&D for lithium recovery from high magnesium and high sulfate brines.

He is an expert in solar evaporation and phase chemistry systems. He has diplomat in business administration, which has been very helpful in project evaluation, supply analysis and operation costs estimations. Peter speaks 3 languages fluently: English, Spanish and Dutch.

At the moment he is consulting in a variety of lithium and potash topics such as, process simulations, process development, lab and pilot testing, engineering, lithium applications, world lithium supply analysis, lithium prices, cost simulations for a variety of lithium minerals and brine deposits.

He is qualified person and member of AusIMM.
